Anna Acciarino, PT, DPT, CMPT, ATC
Anna Laura Acciarino, PT, DPT, CMPT, ATC graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training in 2014, and Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy in 2017 from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Honored with the Silver Medal of Excellence in Doctor of Physical Therapy, Anna has gained experience in evaluating and treating orthopedic injuries both on-and-off the field with a wide variety of collegiate and high school sports teams including: football, field/ice hockey, wrestling, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, and track and field.
Anna joined Manhattan Physio Group in the fall of 2017, when she began meticulous mentoring and training through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). She earned the title of “Certified Manual Physical Therapist” in May 2020 after successfully completing rigorous examinations. Anna strongly believes in continued education to optimize care, in order to improve function and achieve personal goals.
Anna’s 15-year background in dance drives her passion for movement. Growing up she participated in multiple tap, jazz, ballet and lyrical dance competitions at Andrea’s Dance Studio in Bronx, NY. In high school, she became exposed to musical theatre where she performed in “42nd Street”, “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, and “The Pajama Game”. Anna continued on to dance as a member of Sacred Heart University’s SHU Force Dance Ensemble.
Combining her passions of physical therapy, dance and movement, Anna strives to provide excellence in maximizing performance for every client.
